Returning guests will find that the wood-burning fireplaces have been replaced with log-effect electric heaters.

There are two reasons for this change. Firstly, burning wood produces far more greenhouse gases than does electricity, especially with more and more electricity being generated from renewable sources. We all need to do our bit to limit climate change.

Secondly, firewood is becoming very difficult to source and is hence becoming very expensive. And what firewood is available is increasingly coming from native forests.

Our cabins and cottages are now furnished with heaters as illustrated here.
